WHY VIETNAM?
Vietnam achieved an estimated 6.5 percent GDP growth in 2019, placing it in the front ranks of the dynamic Asian emerging markets. The country is rapidly opening up to the market economy and actively promoting its open trade strategy. Most recently, the free trade agreement with the EU was completed in early 2020, and 99 percent of all customs duties on imported goods from Europe will be reduced within 10 years.
A PROMISING LAND FOR GERMAN TECHNOLOGY OWNERS
Vietnam has developed into a crucial market for German manufacturing companies. The growth of imported machinery equipment from Germany has almost doubled since 2013. In 2018, German machines and systems delivered to Vietnam was worth EUR 788 million. Machine tools manufacturers, in particular, benefit from this. Fixed capital expenditure of machine tools users rose by an average of 9 percent in 2017 - 2019.
